Hightlights Travel2Africa's golfing tour offers you an excellent golfing experience but also the opportunity to enjoy the rich culture of Africa. The tour starts with a visit to Lesedi, meaning 'place of light', which is situated north of Johannesburg in the pristine bushveld of the Magliesburg Mountains. A multi cultural African village, where families from the Zulu warrior nation, the proud Xhosa, the warm hearted Pedi and the mountain dwelling Basuto live in traditional homesteads. Lesedi will reveal the mystical cultures of these ancient people through traditional dancing, singing and story telling, you are also invited to enjoy an African feast with the inhabitants of this village. Further north in a sheltered valley, set deep in the hills at the heart of the North West Province is Sun City. This fantasy world is a sportsman's paradise, boasting two world-class golf courses, designed by Gary Player. A spectacular spread of fairways and greens, conjured out of the myths and legends of Africa. After enjoying your golfing experience and the other activities on offer, we transfer you to one of our finest game reserves set in the Mpumalanga Lowveld. Here, be prepared to be unashamedly spoilt by your hosts with starlit boma dinners, sundowners in the bush and morning and evening game drives for you to seek out the big five. The tour then takes you to the coast of Kwazulu Natal, after a quick flight you will arrive at Zimbali Lodge where elegant accommodation offers sweeping views across the valley to the ocean. Enjoy a challenging game of golf on one of South Africa's top courses, followed by a half-day Zulu cultural experience. A non-golf playing partner will be offered a full day trip to a Kwazulu game reserve. You will then be taken to the coastal town of George in the Western Cape, situated between the Outeniqua Mountains and the Indian Ocean. The local Montague Pass took Henry Fancourt White four years to build affording an indigenous mosaic experience of the countryside. Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estate is a superb luxurious golfing and leisure resort. They offer a wide range of activities, including Gary Player designed golf courses, a health and beauty spa, gymnasium, etc. We then travel to Erinvale Golfing Estate in Somerset West just outside Cape Town. This course hosted the 1996 World Cup of Golf, where participants found the course a visual delight. South African Tourism registered guides will take guests on a wine tasting experience around the Cape winelands, alternatively a day trip to the Cape Peninsula, including a visit to Table Mountain and city tour of Cape Town can be arranged.
