Kruger on the Crocodile. (4 Day Trip)

Join us on safari to explore this wonderful wild place. Relax in the comfort of a private lodge, enjoying a fully inclusive South African dining experience. Take the opportunity to wander down to the Crocodile River and you will be amazed at what there is to be seen. Rhino may be seen grazing at the waters edge, a herd of elephants may be playfully plodding along, the youngsters having fun in the water. Water buck, Kudus, Bushbuck and Warthog may complete the scene.

Don't be surprised to see some of these animals arriving outside the lodge, they are also curious to see what is on the menu. Join us for sundowners on the banks of the Crocodile River. The river frontage is walk able (mountain biking is also an option) and many sandy roads transport us to viewing sites. The Reserve is fenced, but that doesn't seem to stop the animals coming within the property. A traditional BBQ "braai" under the bright African stars completes the day.

We begin the next day with an early start. We enter the Kruger National Park at Crocodile River Bridge. There is a chance of seeing the Big Five, if we are lucky. The area is well known for seeing the "cats". We drive down to Lower Sabie Camp, from where we are able to take in panoramic views of the meandering Sabie River. The morning's drive will no doubt have worked up an appetite. We enjoy breakfast on the deck at Lower Sabie to the sights and sounds of the African bush. Hippo may be heard grunting, as well as the plaintive call of the African Fish Eagle.

Our day drive continues along the Sabie River, stopping at Nkuhlu Picnic Spot for drinks and a stretch. Our safari continues towards Skukuza Camp with wildlife in abundance. Impala bound along the river roads and elephant are more than likely to be seen. Lunch break at Skukuza Camp and time for a shopping spree. If you need to stock up with souvenirs, this is the place to shop.

Relax at the river before we start our drive towards Malelane Gate. A stop at Afsaal to refresh ourselves and then return to our lodge.

We end the day with a dip in the plunge pool to cool down, sunset drinks and a traditional South African meal. The following day we again venture into the Kruger National Park, exploring new roads and differing terrains and landscapes. We hope you will enjoy your stay with us and all your game viewing experiences.

The next morning depart for Johannesburg.
