Early Bird Rising (Day Tour) Option 1 - Balloon Safari Enjoy an Air Safari over the Rhino and Lion Park, nestled in the Cradle of Mankind. Skim over tree tops or just drift across the clear morning sky. If this is your style of game viewing you are on the right trip.
There are plenty of game to be seen and maybe the roar of the lions below you. Flight lasts approximately 1 hour, followed by a game drive through the Reserve to a secluded breakfast site, where a full English breakfast is served with Champagne and orange juice. After a drive through the Predator Camp, you will be transferred to your waiting vehicle, the park is then open to us for further game viewing, in our touring vehicle. Our day tour continues to Maropeng, the official visitors centre for the Cradle of Humankind Heritage Site. Maropeng tells the story of humankind's origins, and its continuing journey into the future. An underground boat takes visitors through the life-giving elements of water, ice, earth and fire. Or visit the Sterkfontein Caves, also on our route, this is one of the richest and most productive paleao-anthropogical homid fossil sites in the world, guided tours are available hourly. Or another alternative is the Gold Rush, where the first gold was produced in 1887. Interested in visiting an old gold-mine? During the mid 19th century, hopeful and colourful characters arrived in the area in the hope of spectacular wealth and fame. Let your guide take you back through the corridors of time, and experience the original workings on an underground gold mine. This fact filled guided tour takes approximately one hour.
